CertainTeed CedarBoards

CedarBoards comes in four profiles. The new Single 7" and Double 6" Rough Cedar Clapboard display a straight even face with a flat surface to replicate the look of wood siding. Deep straight-edge panel projections create a clean look of freshly-sawn wood. The more traditional Double 4" Clapboard and Double 4-1/2" Dutchlap styles are available with Select Cedar finish.

CedarBoards is engineered for thermal and acoustical performance utilizing TrueComfort ® Siding Technology. The polystyrene insulation backing of CedarBoards is custom contoured to the profile and can increase the R-value of a home’s exterior wall by as much as 22 percent. It also provides added strength and rigidity for a solid look and feel, and can compensate for minor variations in the wall. The impact resistance of CedarBoards is five times better than traditional vinyl siding.

Like other CertainTeed siding products, CedarBoards installs easily and precisely with the patented STUDfinder™ Installation System. STUDfinder precisely aligns nail slots with construction standards of 16" and 24" on center to ensure panels are securely fastened to studs. Accurate installation contributes to wind load performance and helps avoid the hazards of nailing into plumbing and wiring located between the studs.

CedarBoards comes in 12 popular colors with a wide variety of coordinating trim and specially designed accessories.
